This system works fine but if you ever want to close your account its almost impossible. They tried to charge me for a service that I no longer wanted or needed. That's a new one.

Not disappointed with Ooma

I heard Clarke Howard speak of the service for years and I a to have tried and enjoy it.

Best Phone System Ever!

I am recently retired military. We moved every 3 years for the last 22 years. I can say that I have had at least 15 different experiences establishing my home phone service. This was by far the best of them all! I ordered the Telo, it arrived as expected, I followed the instructions to connect it to the internet and to my existing house phone wiring. Then I disconnected the main line from the phone company (the box outside). It worked perfectly out of the box. I recorded my voicemail greeting, and that was it. From Box to fully operational was less than 10 minutes! I would recommend Ooma to anyone who is interested in having a "Home Phone" who doesn't want to pay the ridiculous prices the phone company charges.

Tried to get Ooma. Hassled with them for over 2 weeks. Ported my number over. They couldn't get Ooma to work. Took me almost a month without a phone. Finally got my old service back. If you go with them, make sure they get it working before you cancel your other service.

I wish I had one

Ooma once offered me a Telo at a discount. But I didn’t see the email until the offer expired. Now they want me to rate a device their records should show I do not own. I am still using my original Ooma and thankfully it still works great.

Horrible Delay - STILL

Not crazy about Ooma. Do not have time to trouble-shoot. This has been a problem since DAY 1. Too much of a delay before anyone can hear me or I can hear them. Land lines seem to connect more successfully.

Since being installed I have had two full weeks of no service on my phone itself. Even though friends and family call and leave a message, they are no longer showing up on my answering machine. Have not only missed family and friends calls but important appointment messages from my doctor. Ooma is oblivious to the problem and when I had someone out, his comment, I am not familiar with that problem and left!! Avoid if you can. I had no choice. My totally perfect Greenfield that never had a problem was taken away and I was left with basically no service.

Not great quality

Must always say "hello" at least twice before the other party can hear. Always a delay, so you find yourself talking over the other person & this also happens on their end. Other party sometimes hears an echo of their voice which they find very annoying.
