I'm a customer of Ooma for at least 2cyrs. now and love the service. This email is just to provide feedback.I'm in a 55-and-over club of 150 members and we meet up constantly. Whenever phone service or TV is discussed, I jump in and tell them I've "cut the cord" and now save close to $70/mo. just streaming and loving it. I also interject when the conversation turns to 'bundling' with cable companies and tell them I pay less than $5/mo. and get the same quality & service they're paying a min. of $30/mo. BUT... and there's always a but. When they hear it costs $99 to start up with Ooma, they quickly lose interest. And $40 more to keep their number...Gone is the interest. I think if you gave Senior Citizens a break, they would probably seriously consider signing up with Ooma. I know I love all my sr. discounts. Though most of my friends/members do not live off just their Soc.Sec. checks... most seniors are averse to change...unless you make it worth their while. That's just my two cents on why I've never convinced anyone else to go with Ooma.

Refer a friend to get $20

I was referred by my friend. But, I didn't get $20. I called and write to customer service representive. I didn't get responce.

You get what you payed for.

I get 100Mbps - 250Mbps. Plenty of bandwidth all of my devices at home and I can hear people on the other end of the call every few minutes 2 second pauses in sound(where they hold the same note as if in a song for 2 beats). The people on the other side constantly hear me drop out every few minutes. This makes communicating difficult.

Have experienced some quality issues. A few dropped calls but mostly on some calls numerous issues of a beeping noise and several calls with voice delays

Totally positive experience

I live in a rural area with antiquated in-ground phone lines subject to frequent problems and poor clarity. On my brother's recommendation I tried Ooma and it is working great. There is a hint of "latency" - delay in the conversation at times - but that is likely because my internet connection is not the greatest. But overall I am glad to be rid of ATT and I'm sure ATT is happy not to keep coming out to repair their ancient cables every time squirrels chew the wires or rain leaks into the connections.

Poor customer service

I have reached out over and over again for someone to assist me with hocking up the box. They have already canceled my phone service and I still can not get the box or service hooked up. I have made complaints with the fcc also your customer service stinks

A great way to make phone call and save money!

I want to get rid of my line line and still keep keep my old phone number, the OOma Telo is the answer. as far as the quality of the phone call, there's seems to be a slight delay for outgoing and incoming calls. Other than that, it's been working out okay so far.

Not worth the cost.

Set up was not easy, quality of calls is VERY poor. Many times i can hear the person on the other end of the line but they can't hear me. Lots of interference on the calls with strange sounds when caller is talking. The whole thing is very disappointing. I was hoping i could keep my landline # with OOMA but there are just too many issues with it.
