Ooma’s Talkatone Introduces Enhanced Texting and Calling Features

Ooma, Inc. (NYSE: OOMA) a leading smart business and home communications platform, today announced that Talkatone^®, a mobile app that provides free calling and texting over Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection, now offers stickers and emoji within the app. This new feature makes it easier than ever for Talkatone users to create enhanced visual text messages by accessing a rich library of more than 4 million pieces of branded and unbranded sticker and emoji content to add to text messaging conversations.

Additionally, Talkatone now offers the ability to change phone numbers dynamically in the app. This new feature allows users to choose a new phone number from which to call and text in real-time in the app, while preserving existing text conversations and call history from prior phone numbers. As part of this new offering, users receive one free change of phone number and can then purchase additional phone number changes as needed.

Talkatone also supports network handoff, allowing a user who changes networks during a phone call to continue that call uninterrupted. Talkatone’s network handoff works when switching from Wi-Fi to cellular data (or vice versa) and also between Wi-Fi networks.
