Great phone line replacement

The Ooma was simple to install and activate. It works perfectly in place of conventional phone service using existing telephones.. The basic service comes with all the features we needed. The only negative is lack of local number but not a major deal. Highly recommended way to save $.
A little too early for complete review

Relatively easy to install, works with existing three phone Panasonic system. Community in process of switching internet provider. Should have even better results with higher speed internet plus fiber optic cable direct to house.
You wouldn't even notice your old land line is gone !!

Rarely does something come along that is 1) Cheaper to own and use; 2) Offers more features; 3) makes you not notice the old device is gone !! Ooma does precisely that. Once you hook it up to your wifi network and existing telephone jack, you're done ! Its as if your land line had never left ! You can even port over your old number or get a new one. Now for the plus - you get a phone / computer app that allows you to hear voice recordings while away from home, notifies you when you have a missed message, and allows you to create custom block lists for unwanted callers. You can even subscribe to have emails sent to you with message recordings ! The bottom line is this - it TOTALLY WORKS just as good if not better than your old land line - its cheaper - and has more features! I would never go back !!!

Ooma replaced our over priced land line for $4.09 per month. We love this service.
Good Service for an extra line

I like Ooma, it is very inexpensive. I replaced my landline with Ooma, There was no point in paying $70/month when most calls on the landline are telemarketers. I like that Ooma screens out most telemarketers. I have had minor issue with the service going out on occasion. I have had to unplug and plug back in the Ooma box to get it started again. This happens maybe every other month. (However if I am not home to reset the box, no one can get through on that line, and they will not go through to voicemail.) Also had issue with Lynx device, but again, just unplug it few a few seconds and it reconnects.

I have had my OOMA phone for about 9 months now. I have been very happy with it. I was paying over $35 a month for a phone without long distance. I hardly used it. Now I have long distance and local calling for just over $5 a month. The quality of the equipment and performance is first rate. I don't use any special features but I know they are available. I am completely satisfied.
I purchased the Ooma system because I needed to move a fax number from where it was to where it needs to be now. It was a little tricky and took several steps, but I am totally satisfied and it is working beautifully. If you try it and get into difficulty, call them and they will help guide you through it. Thanks again, is very much appreciated.
