How do I know when a call is made from a public safety phone?

AirDial will send SMS and email alert notifications when calls are made from safety phones. Remote Device Management can be set up to the list of people that should be notified based on the type of devices.

How does Ooma AirDial handle installations when there is no strong cell signal?

Ooma uses a proven process that is adaptable to different locations. We have access to four wireless carriers. We leverage customer wired Internet where possible for redundancy. Other strategies include using existing internal wiring to move the AirDial unit higher (up) in the building effectively extending the POTS lines to a location with better signal and we can supply external antenna kits when necessary.
