Its works great! You need to tell people that local numbers are not available everywhere.Its works great! but worth a shit without a local number.

Ooma Rocks!

The price is right: $5 for taxes vs $37 with our cable company. The Features are powerful, well-integrated & user-friendly. The quality is as close to a land-line as I could imagine. Consumer Reports rates Ooma as the #1 phone service, and we agree.

Landline phone

This phone is great as a second phone line for the family. Both me and my wife has our own cell phone and we use our cell phone as our primary. This land line is just for the purpose of having it just in case we can't use our cell phone and it has a great reception. I really don't need any extra features that Ooma was offering since we have two cellphones being used all the time. But it is really great to have a second line in the house and Ooma is a great provider.

Retiree

It works fine. I did have to increase my broad band from Comcast, but after I did that it works fine. Nice to have an extra line when you're on the phone with another call . Easy to set up.

Great alternative for home phone

Well, I canceled my AT&T landline and have not looked back. The price of Ooma, easy setup,features and quality are good. However, I had to change from my original phone number setup because the phone line changed back to someone with a different name. Therefore, even though I setup the phone with my name, this other person name would show up. I even called Ooma to get this fixed. Eventually, I just had to change to a new number.

Ooma VOIP is the best!

No one could tell that I had switched over from the tele. co. to Ooma VOIP. The voice quality & service is just as good if not better in some respects.

Request for a review

They screwed me in the beginning. I prepaid for premier service and was supposed to get free number porting. Didn't happen. Overall the service is quite reliable and I am happy.

Great service! Couldnt be happier!

Ooma is perfect. Exactly what i needed in my house! My internet connection is excellent. Therefore Ooma runs flawlessly. Its easy enough for my 10 year old to use. Love it! Thank you!

Ooma eperience

Overall, I'm very happy with Ooma. I don't use all of the features but do like the ability to use my cell phone to call Canada without the high per minute charges that AT&T charges. I decided to add home security sensors and purchased several. I was surprised to learn that there would be a monthly cost even though no monitoring is being provided. I went back and read the advertising and it said it was free. It didn't say that it was only free for the first 3 months. I feel this was deceptive advertising and not something that I expected from Ooma. I feel it should either be free as advertised or the advertising needs to be changed to be accurate.

Best Decision

I have really been enjoying the peace and quiet. No crazy calls all day, which I knew about this earlier. Need this on my cell phone
