I’ve saved $4,200 since switching to Ooma.

Great value for the premium service

I was a SunRocket customer until they went bust. Then I migrated to Lingo before switching to Nettalk. When my NetTalk adapter died and days passed after calling and messaging Nettalk customer service I decided to give Ooma a try based on customer reviews and the varied services offered. For my needs, I found the premium service a value well worth the cost. It is a little more than the other VOIP services I have used past but the added features make it a spectacular value. I have 2 numbers and a Lynx adapter with the second line set up for a dedicated fax. There is no comparison to any other system I have used and compared to the offerings from my cable of phone companies for service what they want to charge me each month pays for 4 months of Ooma's premium service. since switching to Ooma.

Bunch of crooks!!!!!

I called months ago to have my service disconnect since my employer provided all remote employees with a new service. After an hour of telling the customer rep that I did not want to keep the number or the service for my personal use, I received a very snarky remark about how this OOMA device would just be sitting in my home now gathering dust, to which I replied " it's non of your business what I do with the device I paid for". Months later I noticed that I'm still being charged for the service, when I called to complain I was told that an email had been sent to me to see if I wanted to sell the device to someone else and make some money off it. Since they didn't hear back from me they assumed I had changed my mind and still wanted to continue with the service. WHAT!! I looked through all my emails and I never received anything from them after I called to cancel other than a boat load of spam. These people are crooks, NEVER again!! oh and when I asked for a refund, again I was told I should sell the device to a friend to make some money on it instead of it just sitting in my home. Guess what! it's in the trash, its not sitting in my home any longer!!! I work in customer service for a fortune 500 company and I can't even imagine treating any of my customers the way this company does. I never write reviews but my experience with this company was so horrible that I had to. Think twice before you sign up!

Could do better.

Missing distinctive ring. Be nice to be able to show caller i’d on tv. Allowing several calls through that should be caught by nomorobo.

Problem after problem

My primary phone is an AT&T answering machine phone and it is on a Linx in my kitchen, with an extension to the master bedroom. I just quits working for no reason when the second linx phone + extension keep on working, plus the faxphone keeps working. All have needed calls to have things fixed, but the main phone just doesn't ring half the time, and I don't think I should have to keep calling myself with my cellphone to check on it.

be careful what you sign in for

the contract is very tricky, they offer a low price promotion and afterwards, the price triple without any advise. Its very difficult to contact customer service from your mobile. The cancellation experience is very redundant and trying to sell more products. i won't use this company ever again.

Random calls

Since signing up with Ooma I have been getting an increasing number of random number call, more than with my Land line company...Beware,

Life on Ooma with varible internet speeds
Gary Westcott on Apr 09, 2018
After one moth of Ooma I have taken to using my cell phone for important calls. The quality of Ooma has been variable from calls dropping, static and randomly going quiet white talking. In the 1st week I discovered that the modem had dropped off line, even though it was showing blue. So no calls until I realized and reset set everything. Called customer service and the 1st person was useless, after asking for a supervisor I was able to at least logg and case. Every time I use the Ooma phone service I check my internet speed. If it is under 20 meg there is no point in using the phone. most of my calls are local and people complain constantly that the sound is thin and has static. My phone was automatically cancelled from my original service with Centurylink as soon as I started my number change, so the is no going back to a land line..The only saving grace is that It is cheap at only $15.00 a month and I am no longer giving $$ to centurylink who are overpriced and have a basic service with terrible customer care.If I spent a lot of time on the phone I would not use Ooma.Gary

OOMA - The Good and the Bad
Barney Carter on Apr 09, 2018
Have had OOMA home phone for about 5 weeks. Setup was very simple, no problem getting it going. Voice quality is very good, much better than my previous landline. Now for the bad--my old number could not be ported so I got a new number which was no problem. However, when I make a call my name does not show on the caller I'd of the person I am calling, instead a name shows that is not me. I assume it was the person who previously had the number. I have called customer service twice but as of 4/8/18 it has not been corrected. With the technology OOMA uses I can't understand why this cannot be corrected.
