Enter your Ooma IP phone’s Wi-Fi credentials manually

If you don’t have a way to connect your Ooma IP phone to the office Ethernet using a hardwired cable, you may need to enter your office’s Wi-Fi credentials in your Ooma IP phone by hand. Find your model of Ooma IP phone below and then follow the corresponding instructions to get started.

Ooma 2602W

  1. Press the Menu softkey (menu icon)
  2. Use the arrow keys to select Settings, then Wi-Fi Settings
  3. If Wi-Fi is diabled, set Wi-Fi to Enabled
  4. Select Wi-Fi Network to have the phone scan for all available Wi-Fi networks within range
  5. Select your network from the list of available networks, then press the Connect softkey (link icon)
  6. Use your phone’s keypad to enter the Wi-Fi network’s password, then press the OK softkey (checkmark icon)

Note: To enter your password, you will need to use a multi-tap approach with the phone keypad. Press the corresponding number key repeatedly until the desired character appears. Tap the Ab2 softkey to toggle input modes to numbers only, upper case only, lower case only, or mixed (the default mode). Refer to the following table for the characters available for each key.

  1. Press the Menu softkey
  2. Use the arrow keys to select System, then Wi-Fi Settings
  3. If Wi-Fi is diabled, set Wi-Fi to Enabled
  4. Select Scan to have the phone scan for all available Wi-Fi networks within range
  5. Select your network from the list of available networks, then press the Connect softkey
  6. Use your phone’s keypad to enter the Wi-Fi network’s password, then press the OK softkey

  2. Use the arrow keys to select Settings, then Network, then Wi-Fi Networks
  3. Select your network from the list of available networks, and press the Select button
  4. Use the arrow keys to select the Password field
  5. Use your phone’s keypad to enter the Wi-Fi network’s password, then press the Connect softkey
