Connecting Ooma with Dropbox

You can link your Ooma system with your Dropbox account to maintain a backup of your Ooma voicemails that is accessible from anywhere. Once a voicemail has been backed up, you can choose to keep it handy in My Ooma or delete it to free up space.

How do I get started with connecting Ooma to Dropbox?

If you’re ready to get started connecting Ooma to your Dropbox account, then follow these instructions:

  1. Log into your My Ooma account and navigate to the Dropbox tab in your Apps page.
  2. Click on the “Link Dropbox Account” button. You will be redirected to Dropbox so that you can enter your account credentials and verify that you wish to connect your account with Ooma.
  3. Once you have completed this process, you will be redirected back to My Ooma where you can continue your setup.
  4. By default, your voicemails will save to /Apps/Ooma/Voicemails in your Dropbox. You may also choose a different folder or create a new folder under /Apps/Ooma/Voicemails. If you wish to create a new folder, you can select the “New Folder…” option from the Dropbox Folder Path dropdown menu.

What can I do once I connect Ooma with my Dropbox account?

Once you have connected Ooma with your Dropbox account, you can choose to back up all new voicemails to a Dropbox folder that you choose. Once a message has been backed up, you can optionally choose to delete the voicemail from My Ooma.

Can I back up voicemail messages that are already saved in My Ooma?

Yes. You can back up voicemail messages that are already saved in My Ooma by following these instructions:

  1. Log into your My Ooma account and navigate to your Inbox under the Voicemail tab.
  2. Select the voicemail message or messages that you would like to archive.
  3. Click on the “More Actions” button and select “Save to Dropbox” from the dropdown menu.
  4. Your messages will be copied to Dropbox. When the process is complete, you will have the option to delete those messages from My Ooma.

Who can use Dropbox integration?

Dropbox integration with Ooma is available to all Ooma Premier subscribers.

How can I turn off Dropbox integration?

You can unlink your Dropbox account from your Ooma account by following these directions:

  1. Log into your My Ooma account and navigate to the Dropbox tab in your Apps page.
  2. Click the “Unlink” button.
