Messaging Templates Overview (PRO)

Last Updated: June 29, 2026

If you find yourself frequently repeating yourself in your Ooma Business Texting communications with customers, then Messaging Templatespro may help you streamline your work. Messaging Templates allow you to store messages for easy reuse in the future.

Once they are enabled, Messaging Templates are available to all users. Templates are stored at the account level, which means that any Ooma Office user will have access to all saved templates. If one user creates a Messaging Template, it will be available to everyone.

Before users may access Messaging Templates, this feature must be enabled by an account administrator. This can be done by following these instructions:

  1. Log in to office.ooma.com as an administrator and navigate to the System section on the Settings page.
  2. Select the Messaging tab and then choose the Templates option.
    • If you would like users to be able to create their own templates and edit or delete existing templates, check the Allow users to create, edit and delete entries option.
    • You can also use this space to create a new template or to search for and update or delete an existing template.
  3. Save your changes.

When at least one template has been created, Messaging Templates will be available in the messaging interface in the updated Ooma Office Desktop App. Any user can take advantage of these templates in their communications.
