How to mute and unmute your microphone during an Ooma Meeting

Last Updated: July 21, 2025

It’s a good habit to mute your microphone when you’re not actively speaking during an Ooma Meeting! You can toggle mute on and off by clicking the Audio button in the lower-left corner of your screen:

  • unmute indicates that your microphone is active
  • mute indicates that your microphone is muted

If your microphone is not working properly, you may need to update your permissions. You can find more information by clicking the article that covers the way you are accessing Ooma Meetings: Desktop application or meetings.ooma.com.
