How to update your extension’s dispatchable location

An extension’s dispatchable location is the exact spot in the building that the extension is located. When the extension is used to dial 911, the dispatchable information will be sent to first responders so they can find the exact part of the building in need of help.

The dispatchable location can be set by either the extension owner or by an administrator:

Extension owner

1. Log in to office.ooma.com as a user and use the menu in the lower-left corner to navigate to the settings page.
2. Go My info in the Profile section.
3. Locate the Location detail field and update it with your exact location and any other information that will assist emergency responders.
4. Save your changes.

Administrator

1. Log in to office.ooma.com as an administrator and navigate to the Settings page.
2. Select the user whose information will be updated.
3. Under the Basic tab, fill in the Location Detail field with the user’s exact office number and any other helpful information.
4. Save your changes.
