I am a tax-exempt customer and need to apply for a tax exemption with Ooma

Last Updated: March 2, 2026

You can apply for a tax exemption for your Ooma Office service by providing us with the valid tax-exempt documentation. You will also need to maintain a current tax-exempt certificate in accordance with state law.

Please contact Ooma Customer support to submit the tax-exempt documentation. Once it is submitted, Ooma will verify its applicability.

Most commonly-applied tax exemptions are for sales and use tax, which includes sales, utility, and USF taxes. On rare occasions, 911 tax exemptions are also included.

Once your tax-exempt status is verified, you will still see charges for taxes on your bill. You will receive a refund for the appropriate amount during the same billing cycle.
